Hello dear friends I hope this finds you all healthy and happy as you can be considering all the craziness.
We find ourselves in troubling times indeed, I’m sure many of you (like me) are anxious about our present global situation, under the shadow of Covid-19. Many of you will be deeply concerned for the health and safety of your family and friends and filled with uncertainty as to what this all means for the future. Please know we are thinking of you all, sending good vibes and a bit of distraction your way.
I wanted to use the sudden glut of time on my hands to write about the wilderness areas in Africa that we hold most dear. These stunning landscapes have had a profound effect on Jana and I.
They have shaped our own great journey over the last twelve years and continue to fill us with inspiration and wonder, even when we find ourselves isolated from them.
I’m going to write a series of blogs, under the title The Wild Awaits, to share with you these amazing places, to step with you into these parks and conjure up a sense of what it feels like to be there. I hope to inspire in you a hunger to join us and see these sights for yourself when a happier time comes.
The impact of coronavirus is being felt across the world and Mama Africa’s protected areas, her conservation projects and the diverse communities that surround and support them are no different. The consequences of all this could be devastating to everything we treasure most. The African bush has given us so much joy and inspiration, we have a duty to do all we can to protect it for generations to come.
When you are ready, come on safari with us.
